Sponsoring a Recordholder

Sponsoring a Recordholder

This guide is intended for Employer Admin users.
Sponsoring a recordholder provides a high-level relationship for another employer, who is not their current primary employer. This will provide the Sponsor with full visibility and editing rights of the record including the ability to issue cards. An example of this may be for labour agencies. The recordholder will be employed by the agency, but other employers can sponsor them to maintain their record temporarily.
Before you start:
The 'Requires Sponsorship' flag on the record must have been ticked on the Core Details tab for the worker. This needs to be done by their Primary Employer.

The company wishing to act as a Sponsor must have first been configured as such by the SkillGuard Helpdesk.

1. Log in to SkillGuard.
2. From the Dashboard or People tab, select Search for New Workers to Sponsor.
3. Complete all fields and click Search.
4. Highlight the relevant record and click the Sponsor button.

The recordholder and their primary employer will receive a confirmation email notifying them of the new sponsorship.
