Logging in to the Web Card Reader

This guide is intended for recordholders with the status option: Access Controller or Spot Check Only. 

  1. Go to the SkillGuard login page.
  2. Click on the Web Card Reader link at the top of the screen.
  3. To scan the recordholder's smartcard, use either a built-in camera, external webcam or QR code scanner.
  4. Once you have scanned your card, you will receive an authentication message. You can either receive the authentication code via email or SMS. Enter the authentication code you receive and click Authenticate. 
  5. Once logged in select the relevant locations from the drop-down list presented. Entity, Project and Site (Zones are optional). 
  6. Once selected, click Proceed.
