Introduction to Status Options

Introduction to Status Options

This guide is intended for Employer Admin users.

Access Controller is the term given to the recordholder in charge of swiping recordholders in and out of a work site. An Access Controller can also check the job roles and competencies of recordholders to ensure compliance (during swipe in or a spot check), award certain competencies and view any work restrictions, as well as deny access to the site.
Spot Check Only gives permission to “check cards” of other recordholders, view their job roles, competencies, and any work restrictions. This is view-only.
Can Self Swipe is a recordholder who may work alone, with permission to swipe only themselves in and out of a work site, view their job roles, competencies, and any work restrictions.

Share Employment allows the recordholder to be employed by up to two secondary employers. Only the Primary Employer has full edit rights to a recordholder’s record and this status only changes if the recordholder’s primary employment is changed to another employer. For further information, see the Sharing Employment guide.
New To Industry is the term given to a recordholder with little or no experience of the employer’s business and is flagged for the attention of an Access Controller or Spot Checker when their card is swiped on site.
Visitor is the term given to an individual who has been given a Visitor Pass to allow access to a particular site on a temporary basis. This checkbox cannot be selected - it is selected automatically when a Visitor Pass is issued to an individual.
