An Access Controller is an individual in charge of swiping recordholders and visitors in and out of a site. They can also check job roles and competencies to ensure site compliance, award certain competencies to recordholders, view work restrictions, as well as deny access to site. This is done by scanning a SkillGuard card (physical or virtual) or visitor pass presented by an individual.
  1. To get the app set up, see Mobile App for First Time Users.
  2. Sign in to the app by either scanning your physical card or pressing the virtual card button on your app.
  3. Enter the location details for where the card reading will take place.
  4. To start a new team, select Start Team.
  5. By default, the Swipe In Access Controller checkbox is selected, but this can be deselected if you are not entering the Site.
  6. Scan the QR code or read the NFC chip on a recordholder's card.
  7. Add or update the travel times to and from the place of rest.
  8. The card will appear in the Current Team screen.
To swipe a recordholder out of the site, select their name from the list and click Swipe Out, or if a different Access Controller swiped them in, simply select Swipe Out and then scan their card.
